yesterday

yesterday i went to a chelsea roof party and met some really inspiring people. the girl lived on top of a fashion boutique where she also actually worked, designing handbags. the whole house was so amazing and gave me so much creative energi. when i lived in stockholm my whole flat was decorated in the name of fashion, like she have done with her shoes. nice. i was wearing: blush leather jacket, new look (!). copper nail vanish, alexander mcqueen inspired dress and flats, topshop. necklace, h&m. earrings, prob topshop.

topshop brompton road

last week i had just one thing on my agenda, checking out the new topshop store that opened in knightsbridge. this lady is a regular costumer, here with arcadia and topshop owner sir philip green at the opening. its smaller than oxford street but they have the best and latest items, they dont pay any attention to the less exciting topsho departmants such as jersey and knitwear. but most of all, you don't have to meet all the tourists of london here, which you do on oxford street. i was offered to come up to the style advisers, well hide, area and met an amazing and talented girl, sabina, you can book her at booking@topshop.com. this is how nice the fitting room is and some of the stuff i tried on.

i'm sorry for being a lazy daisy with the updating. i have to tell you i'm not the best with computers and then when the better half is away at different jobs, i cant do some stuff myself. but hey, i'm learing. sunday was the last summer day (night) in london for a while. i was wearing my new dress from h&m fashion against aids, very missoni. you can see the pattern better in the seconds picture. jacket is an old topshop. bag chloé.

i bought these shorts a while ago from topshop but returned them. i regret that. this girl was at the market with her friends, look at her, she is maybe 12 or 13 years old and looked cooler than most people in there. i wanted to nick her boots too. go girl.

£17,50 fighting aids yesterday

about 700 people die because of aids every day in south africa(!). there are many ways we can stop that, one is by chosing to make purchases from companies who cares and who makes it easy for us to give money to charity. i supported h&m yesterday with a tiny bit. loads of companies does this but the different is that the h&m fashion against aids collection was absolutely amazing. i literally wanted to buy everything. smart. one of the dresses i tried on was this, i would cut it off and wear it as a top though, i've never been one of these herve leger ladies. i just don't feel confy enough. i think it was £19. bargin.

these two pictures feels as relevant to day as they did forty years ago. top picture is from london 1969 and the bottom one from french vogue 1968. i would defo wear the whole outfit, all of them, even yves's i think. i'm going down to harvey nichols for some afternoon tea today, thats the kind of place where you can find your ysl ladies with the looks of 2010. i hope they will be as inspirational.

(don't) be real

i must have a disease. sicko. there's something wrong with me, london is giving me 20 c° and it's green as scandinavia is in end june, i love my new summer looks but i'm sitting here trying to find something like this anywhere, preferably ebay (!), see, this is my cup of tea and a tiny part of me can't wait till october. my wallet doesn't though but this is the kind of stuff zara use to be really good at, jackets, so i will start this day in hope and patience.

i love the inspiration you get from old pictures and icons from other decades. one of my favourites is lee radziwill, more known as jackie kennedy's sister. so beautiful and even if jackie o use to be mentioned as a style icon i like lee's style more, much more relaxed but always stylish with that upper class n.y.c style, you know, the breakfast at tiffany's look but somehow she doesn't look upper class stiff.

a day at DAY

office time today at DAY birger et mikkelsen, where i've done some ordering for the first time. i felt like safari this morning with kakhi biker jeans and shoes, topshop. rolled up shirt, h&m. portfolio is bought in india.

heat

carmen kass is another model on the other side of 30 that still of course looks amazing but who also still get to work for the big magazines and designers. this is harpers bazaar june 2010, i think the first picture is just amazing.

gilet and prints

i just saw this picture of angela lindvall and i want her purple gilet, i bought a alpaca gilet nearly two years ago now and still use it all the time. angela is at the age of 32 (!) still working as a model and just now she is on the cover of british vogue doing a photo shoot in cuba (top pic), really nice colours and prints, the whole shoot is amazing. wish i'll look like that when i'm 30 something.

the topshop cosmetics was even better than i thought they would be, i mean, look at these colours of the nail polish. i want all of them. the boxes for the make up turned out be amazingly cute. here's some of the stuff i bought, most of it is going to stockholm where the biggest topshop lover ever lives, C.

i'm surprised that this cute dress is still on the racks in every zara i've been in to the last two weeks, was it only me who loved miu miu this season? i think it was £19.99. bargin!

wet denim

this denim (!) bikini from h&m gives me one of these (rare) right d&g feelings. a bit of a 90's feeling too. but it would look hot on a summer tanned blondie on the swedish väskust or maybe in Brighton? for some reason didn't buy it.

safari shirt

i really liked this h&m safari shirt but it was a bit too oversized at some stage, unfortunately the perfect one at cos that i tried on a few weeks ago but didn't buy (?), is sold out.

wood you?

clogs is a part of the summer where i come from and thanks to chanel there is a lot of them out there down the high street. these two are from topshop, which will get even more clogs in the next couple of weeks.

chloé is such a cool girl. i think she is one of those few people who can wear all white without looking cheap.

stockholm 070510

this weekend i'm leaving london to see my family in stockholm for a week. i don't know what kind of clothes to bring, it's like moving back in time a few weeks, weather wise, and that doesn't feel tempting at all. this is the question, how to bring city and country side (riding) clothes to fit in one bag?

suede

at least i got to take three pictures today before my borrowed camera died. i fell in love with this suede jacket at h&m in the perfect terracotta colour. imagine how many things you can wear it with. the amount of times i will wear it divided with 129£ is almost nothing isn't it? wearing biker jeans and shirt, both topshop.

i wasn't sure about the resent padded chanel bags but i've always loved the girlie hints you get by sonia rykiel, even more with the under line sonia by sonia rykiel. i think my laptop need this bag. my wallet sure doesn't. netaporter.com

i feel funky in my new nailpolish. i can't remember the brand but topshop will have cosmetics from wed 5th of may and there's a lot of pretty nice colours to pick up. i will have to buy at least 4 of them.

round abouts

i bought a new pair of sunglasses the other day. round. they kind of brings my mind to my hippie aunt a bit. in a nice way and i love the prada feeling the soft case gives me.
